MISSION

Empower children, youth and adults to know positive futures through relationships, mentoring and value-driven living.

VALUES

A focused and productive person knows and practices values that forms who they are. We recruit people who live by the following values and witness these values through mentoring and daily life. These principles include, but are not limited to, calmness, curiosity, clarity, compassion, confidence, creativity, courage, connectedness, responsibility, integrity, liberation and assurance.

Mentors

All mentors must be at least 18 years of age. All adults are background checked and trained. We believe that all adults should work in pairs. We should not have anyone under the age of 18 years of age alone with an adult. Everyone has more to learn. All volunteers that participate as mentors work with M.I.L.K. on a regular basis and are involved in ongoing projects, retreats and trainings. We are active in seeking out ongoing opportunities to bring training and new methods to our volunteers to become more successful.

Projects

We are involved in many charitable activities in different communities. We encourage everyone to become involved in opportunities to volunteer and get involved. There is no experience more rewarding than an action that brings hope and happiness to lives.

We can provide assistance to the homebound that needs a friend or assistance to a young person that just wants to talk. Every life is valuable. We are willing to make an investment that will make a difference and bring hope for a great life.

Mentor Project:        Enterprise Development

“Enterprise Development provides employment, job training, and encourages business ownership opportunities to low-income adults, Veterans and at-risk youth leading to independence.” A project of the program Mentors; Enterprise Development provides employment and job training to individuals without traditional means. The initiative supports community revitalization to those in need. Those who desire a better life receive training and mentoring in order to own and operate a business. The plan allows modification to fit any community. Participants learn how to find their passion and to focus on building it into a successful enterprise.

Objectives:
